Metalplak chooses Metalix for their First MRobot Tandem Cell in Spain

More than 80 employees, two industrial facilities, and nine automated work centers make up the Metalplak company today. Metalplak manufactures, processes, and markets all types of chassis, tanks, structures, and shipping containers, in partnership with leading international companies such as HIMOINSA (YANMAR).

Together with Mahenor, Durma distributor in Spain, we are happy to report the completion of our first Robotic bending cell with Tandem Durma press brake. The cell is equipped with two Durma press brakes ADS 40320 working independently and as tandem, two Kuka KR300 robots, and is fully operational as a triple cell: one of the robots can work on both machines at the same time.
This highly powerful cell can bend parts from 300 to 6000 mm.

The cell works with Dual-arm robot automation, Vacuum and magnetic handlers for various thicknesses and Analysis of special parts. For ultimate accuracy, the cell is also counting on a sophisticated Vision system with cameras helping the robot to identify the exact position of the part to bend.
