Rolla Srl standardizes machine programming and ERP communication with Metalix

Rolla SRL, established in 1974, in Italy, is today a company that deals with light metal carpentry with recognized multi-sector experience. The services offered cover the whole workflow from the creation of the product, including design, prototyping, development of molds and equipment, up to product assembly.

Thanks to a skillful experience in the use of metals with vast chemical/physical and dimensional characteristics, the company has acquired a notable ability to create aesthetic finishes, thanks also to an efficient powder coating department of high quality.

Rolla Srl works with the following machines: Salvagnini L3 fiber laser with turret, Trumpf 6000 laser/punching combination machine with Sheet Master, Trumpf 7000 laser/punching combination machine with Sheet Master.

According to Luca Marini, head of the Technical Department in Rolla Srl, the company had to manage an extremely diverse machine fleet for years, the result of collaborations with various manufacturers.

Since 2022, with the introduction of Metalix software, it has been possible to standardize programming processes. The software’s high level of operational practicality and remarkable versatility have acted as catalysts for the entire technical department, optimizing every phase and thus enabling a drastic reduction in the time dedicated to CAD/CAM activities.

Communication between JobTrack and the company’s ERP system has also been automated, improving all critical phases: from order receipt to automated sheet metal inventory management, all the way to real-time production monitoring.
